ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Maple Woodland Skirt is a lovely maxi skirt with a mermaid shape. The mermaid shape is created by means of decreases and increases at 8 marked stitches. The 8 marked stitches also help shape a fine vertical line along the skirt that enhances the silhouette. The skirt is held up with a casing with an elastic band. This makes it easy to adjust the skirt to make it sit where you want it to. The skirt is worked top down. Therefore, the length is adjustable, and you can make it as short or as long as you prefer.
The Maple Woodland Skirt has a slight negative ease of 2-10 cm / 0.8-3.9″ depending on your hip measurement. The skirt fits a hip measurement of 85-90 (90-96) 96-102 (102-110) 110-118 (118-125) 125-135 cm / 33.5-35.4″ (35.4-37.8″) 37.8-40.2″ (40.2-43.3″) 43.3-46.5″ (46.5-53.1″). You should choose the size closest to your hip measurement. Example: If your hip measurement is 95 cm / 37.4″, you should choose a size S. Size S measures approx. 93 cm / 36.6″ which gives a negative ease of 2 cm/ 0.8″.
